OUR PROGRAMS

Operation Big Serve provides services directly to people in need through the following programs:

FRESH START PROGRAM

Clients referred by the Veterans Affairs peer support receive furnishings and household items to help with transitioning from homelessness into housing.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

Used medical equipment for veterans who are unable to acquire them through their insurance.

PAST TO PROMISE COMMUNITY CENTER

The Community Center is a “drop-in” homeless day center that meets the immediate needs of guests with food, clothing, hygiene items, and a place to rest.

CAFETERIA

Breakfast and lunch are served six days a week in our Cafeteria. A Food Pantry provides shelf-stable food items that are easy to open and carry in a bag.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

A Christ – centered recovery program for those struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind.

JOB TRAINING

Job training where clients get customer service and management experience to put on their resumes.

MENTORING

Participants are paired with a volunteer for one-on-one support to identify and harness their strengths, skills and support systems.

FURNITURE REHAB

Transitional veterans and the homeless receive training in re-purposing and refinishing furniture for our Veterans With Purpose Boutique  – this store offers higher-quality used furniture and household items.
